STATEMENT OF GENERAL POLICY
This Safety Statement represents Holy Angels programme for managing health and safety within the Holy Angels site in Carlow.
Holy Angels Day Care Centre CLG. Board of Management recognises and accepts its responsibilities as an employer and a provider of services to those with intellectual, physical and sensory disability and is committed to providing, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees, service users, visitors and contractors.
Holy Angels Day Care Centre CLG. Undertakes to comply with all legislation and regulations relevant to it and to provide our employees with whatever information, training and supervision is necessary in order that this may be achieved. They also undertake to consult with all employees and service users on all issues of health and safety on an on-going basis.
Holy Angels Day Care Centre CLG. is particularly aware of its safety and health responsibilities to service users, who are the core of what we do. They also accept that they have a duty of care for visitors and contractors who may come on to Holy Angels Day Care Centre Ltd premises to provide or receive service.
This Safety Statement is available to our employees, service users, contractors and to Inspectors of Health and Safety Authority. It clearly states the responsibilities placed on Management to supervise health and safety and also specifies the responsibilities of employees to co-operate with Management in their efforts to create a safe place of work and to operate agreed safe systems of work.
We undertake to seek appropriate advice from competent Health and Safety Consultants as when necessary to ensure that we fully comply with all Laws and Regulations that apply to us. We will strive to continuously improve our health and safety performance year on year.
We will update the Safety Statement as necessary but it will be reviewed at least once a year to reflect changes in legislation, technology, products, provision of service or practices, any accidents or near misses and in the lights of experience.
